Xtreem Blog Challenge

Announcing the Constant Mayhem Society Xtreem Blog Challenge! Enter for your chance to win a new Patriot Xporter XT Boost 16GB Flash Drive! Hit the more link for the details and contest rules.

Update: The contest has ended, the winner is Talyn!

Good news everyone! Our Wordpress install is getting along nicely with our custom template. In order to celebrate our website’s awesomeness we’re going to have a contest. The prize will be a new Patriot Xporter XT Boost 16GB Flash Drive provided by myself. I currently own the 8GB version of this model and it has served me well (I am ordering one of these 16GB versions for myself along with the winner’s drive). I also gave Ap3 one for New Years and he has been loving it. Finedragon has the 32GB model and can attest to the drive’s awesomeness. The drive is encased in a hardish rubber and is water/shock resistant. It also comes with a lanyard.

How will the contest work? Simple, really. It will work similarly to the Xfire contest that took place a while ago on the Xfire website. You will complete several simple challenges in order to enter the pot for a chance at winning the prize. Administrators and moderators are not eligible to compete in this contest–this one’s for you guys!

Meet the Challenges

  • Add at least two widgets to each of the sidebars (left and right) on your blog.
  • Create a new page (not a post) on your blog.
  • Create a new post on your blog, be sure to categorize it, and add tags.
  • Create an “About” page. Include at least two paragraphs about yourself (where each paragraph is at least two sentences long).
  • Include an image with a post (or page) on your blog.
  • Place a link to either your Steam profile, Xfire profile, or email address on your About page or in a widget. Feel free to list all three!

Contest Information

  • The contest begins with this posting. It will end Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 12:00am GMT.
  • The winner will be randomly selected from the pool of people who successfully complete the challenges. You are not eligible to win the contest without completing all challenges before the contest end date.
  • Once the winner is selected, I will contact him (or her) for shipping information. I will ship the prize through the U.S. Postal Service. I dunno how this works if your mailing address is in Canada or whatever, but we’ll work it out.
  • No substitutions for the prize will be offered.
  • You are allowed to ask for help. I will only answer help questions on the forums, so be aware that while you’ll be given a solution, so will your rivals. I recommend you try Google first.

If you have any questions about the contest, feel free to email me or PM me on the forums. Good luck everyone!

Update: In order to clarify things, for challenges where you create a post/page, you can edit a pre-existing post/page and it will still count! If you completed a challenge mentioned here before the contest, it counts as well.
